Words you will see

Jackdesk uses a few simple words again and again. Learn these first; everything else follows.

Conversation (chat)All messages with one customer on one channel, like a WhatsApp chat on your phone.
ChannelWhere a message came from: WhatsApp, Gmail, Zoho Mail, SMS (an office SIM), Facebook, Instagram or your website chat.
ContactOne way to reach a person: one WhatsApp number, one email address or one SMS number.
CustomerThe real person or business. One customer can have many contacts (WhatsApp + email + SMS).
Assigned toThe staff member who must answer this chat. Only they can reply, so two people never answer the same customer.
Internal noteA yellow message only your team can see. The customer never sees it.
TicketA job with an owner, a due date and a status, so it is not forgotten. The customer does not see tickets.
TemplateA message already approved by WhatsApp. You need one to write first, or after 24 hours of silence.
TagA coloured label on a chat, such as “Car service” or “Quote”, to sort and find chats.
Funnel stageWhere the customer is in buying from you: New lead, Quote sent, Won, Service request, and so on.
RailThe column of icons on the far left. It opens every part of Jackdesk.
My workYour own list: what is waiting on you, your to-dos, notes and pinned messages. Only you see it.
